Airport Operations
The Airport Operations department keeps operations at our airports running smoothly through planning, organization and supervision.

Job overview and responsibilities
• Lead the management and strategy for the operations of the assigned station, with focus on United Airlines’ values and core4
• Responsible for day to day operational, financial and personnel performance of assigned international station
• Establish or implement goals and standards to maintain and control operational standards, service levels, costs, and safety requirements
• This includes host government specific security checkpoint and baggage screening requirements in accordance with U.S. TSA security directives, mandates and GSC responsibilities
• Monitor performance against plans and initiate appropriate actions to improve results
• Determine and justify resources, equipment, facilities, staffing, and training needs to achieve station operation goals
• Participate as team member to headquarters, region, support organizations, as well as other United departments in administering their responsibilities
• Coordinate and provide functional guidance and supervision of contracted ground handling agents and business partners
• Represent United Airlines for airport activities to local government and airport authority, along with relevant USA agencies such as TSA international field offices, U.S. aviation security representatives and
• FAA, and also aviation organizations such as ICAO, IATA, Airline committees etc..
• Support with other duties
• Ensures consistent implementation of goals, plans and performance standards for customer service, operational performance, safety, financial performance, employee engagement and security
• Responsible for maintaining a positive employee relations work environment and collaborative relationships with applicable labor groups
• Responsible for maintaining station facilities, equipment, and professional appearance standards for all United and vendor employees
• Responsible for compliance with Stations controls and Internal Audit standards
• Maintain strong working relationships with OAL / airport authorities / vendors / governmental authorities (FAA / TSA / CBP)/internal divisions
• Manage vendor service contracts as required
• Responsible for day-to-day operational performance of assigned international station

This position is offered on local terms and conditions. Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded.

Qualifications

Required
• Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant work experience
• Airline airport operations
• 5+ years Airline airport leadership
• Excellent communication skills; including written and verbal
• Passion for service
• Drives performance
• Team leadership
• Coaches/develops employees
• Promotes a safe working environment
• Must be legally authorized to work in South Korea for any employer without sponsorship
• Must be fluent in English and Korean (written and spoken)
• Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
• Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

Preferred
• Master's degree
• Experience working with the Incheon Airport community
